
Gulabgarh/Reasi:- Muhammad Akram Choudhary, Senior BJP Leader and contesting candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party from 56–Gulabgarh Assembly Constituency, met the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of UT Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha Ji, and presented a memorandum highlighting major developmental demands of the region.
The memorandum primarily sought the construction of a National Highway from Katra to the Holy Amarnath Shrine via Mahore and Gulabgarh, aimed at improving regional connectivity and promoting pilgrimage and tourism. Other key demands included the establishment of a Hill District, construction of a Mini Secretariat at Mahore, and opening of a Sub-Division at Chassana to strengthen administrative infrastructure.
Further demands included the construction of the Sarsote–Kousarnag road, establishment of a Women’s Degree College at Mahore and a Government Degree College at Chassana, besides the construction of a Bus Stand at Mahore.
Mr. Choudhary also highlighted issues related to the education sector, tourism sector, and medical sector, and sought strengthening of healthcare facilities, educational infrastructure, and promotion of sustainable tourism in the region. He further emphasized the need for accelerated development works under the PMGSY and PWD sectors, particularly for road connectivity, maintenance, and upgradation of existing infrastructure in remote and hilly areas.
The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor patiently heard the issues raised and assured that the demands would be examined sympathetically in the interest of public welfare.
