As per the directions of the Worthy Transport Commissioner, J&K, and under the guidance of ARTO Reasi, the team of Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Reasi conducted a special enforcement drive across different locations of District Reasi today on 02-01-2026.
During the drive, more than 150 vehicles were checked. A total of 10 vehicles were e-challaned for various offences under the Motor Vehicles Act, with an expected challan amount of approximately ₹79,000.
The enforcement team also seized 02 vehicles, and 01 driving licence was recommended for suspension due to serious violations.
The drive was aimed at ensuring road safety, checking traffic violations, and spreading awareness among drivers regarding adherence to traffic rules. MVD Reasi reiterated that such enforcement drives will continue in the future to maintain discipline and ensure the safety of the general public.
