Reasi, January 26, 2026: As per the directions of the Hon’ble High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, the 77th Republic Day was celebrated today with great zeal and patriotic fervour at the District Court Complex, Reasi.

The programme commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by Mr. Khalil Choudhary, Principal District & Sessions Judge, Reasi, who greeted the gathering and highlighted the historical significance and constitutional values of Republic Day.

The event was attended by Ms. Geeta Kumar, Chief Judicial Magistrate Reasi; Ms. Pooja Gupta, Secretary, DLSA Reasi; Ms. Mehajbeen Akhter, Chairperson, JJB Reasi; Ms. Shivalli Sharma, Munsiff Reasi; Ms. Aastha Sharma, Additional Special Mobile Magistrate Reasi, Prosecuting Officers, Sh. Pawan Dev Singh, President Bar Association Reasi, along with members of the Bar Association, Chief LADC with Deputy and Assistant LADCs, staff members of District Court and District Legal Services Authority, Para Legal Volunteers, ex-servicemen, teachers and students of Government Girls and Boys Higher Secondary Schools Reasi, and esteemed guests from various departments.

A vibrant series of cultural programmes including patriotic songs and dances were presented by students, advocates and Para Legal Volunteers, filling the atmosphere with national pride and enthusiasm.

Later, a felicitation ceremony was organized wherein the Principal District & Sessions Judge Reasi, along with the CJM Reasi and Secretary DLSA Reasi, distributed trophies and certificates to those who actively participated and contributed towards the successful conduct of the celebrations.


The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Pooja Gupta, Secretary DLSA Reasi, who expressed gratitude to all judicial officers, members of the Bar, LADCs team, staff, PLVs, teachers and students, and representatives of the Police Department, Municipal Council Reasi, J&K Bank, PNB, Floriculture Department, PDD, PWD, Information Department, CRPF and Salal Power Station for their cooperation.
The celebration stood as a proud reflection of unity, constitutional values and patriotic spirit.
