Reasi, April 04, 2026: Acting on the directions of the Worthy Transport Commissioner, J&K, and under the guidance of ARTO Reasi, the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Reasi carried out a comprehensive enforcement drive across various locations in Katra, with special focus around the Railway Station area.
During the drive, more than 300 vehicles were thoroughly checked for compliance with provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act. A total of 22 vehicles were e-challaned for different violations, with an expected fine amount of ₹1,27,200.
The enforcement team also seized 08 vehicles, including 03 buses, for serious violations. Additionally, 04 driving licences were recommended for suspension due to offences observed during the checking.
The MVD Reasi reiterated its commitment to ensuring road safety and strict enforcement of traffic regulations across the district.
