A comprehensive security review of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine and the yatra track was conducted by Mukund Tibrewal, SSP Reasi, on April 10 to strengthen safety arrangements for pilgrims.

Accompanied by senior officers including Kameshwar Puri, SDPO Katra, SDPO Bhawan, and concerned SHOs, the SSP undertook an extensive foot patrol from Darshani Deodi and Banganga up to the Bhawan, inspecting the entire pilgrimage route.

During the visit, key security aspects such as access control, frisking points, CCTV surveillance systems, and police deployment were reviewed. A detailed vulnerability assessment was also carried out at sensitive locations to identify and address potential risks.

The SSP issued on-the-spot directions to enhance vigilance, improve crowd management, and strengthen area domination plans. The review also included a comparison with previous security reports to ensure continuous improvement in safety measures.

Reasi Police reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining robust security at the shrine and along the yatra route, ensuring a safe and smooth pilgrimage experience for all devotees.
